In an early 20th century house in the heart of the Palermo neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, on Wednesdays this milonga is organised, by young dancers. It's held at 757 Scalabrini Ortiz. The rooms are constructed with high ceilings allows the rooms to always have fresh air lower down, the floors and wall of the period and the redesign give a typical Tango ambiance.

Se realizó en varios lugares de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires y terminó a la noche con LA GRAN MILONGA NACIONAL en la Avenida de Mayo a lo largo de 5 cuadras, enre la Plaza de Mayo y la Av 9 de Julio. Se montaron 3 escenarios donde se presentaron orquestas, cantantes y bailarines.
La calle y las veredas se tranformaron en pistas de bailes.
El tiempo no acompaño el festejo, pero la gente no faltó a la cita.

There were several spectacles and shows held through out the city of Buenos Aires, all terminating that night with The Grand National Milonga. Situated on Av de Mayo for a distance of 5 blocks between Plaza de Mayo and Av. 9 de Julio. There were 3 stages set up with Orchestras, Singers and Dancers performing.

The Streets and footpaths were transformed into a huge dance floor.

The weather didn't perform well but the people didn't let the occasion down and came all the same.

Carlos Gavito has made excellence from tango dance combining gentleness, subtlety, pauses and a lot of feeling. He never missed the improvisation, rhythm or hug. This dance requires a lot of gentleness and balance and makes it one of the most difficult dance style to practice. That's why it's hard to find good amateur or professional dancers of that stile, even in Buenos Aires. Two videos in tribute to him.

Carlos Gavito ha hecho una particular excelencia en el baile del tango, con sutileza, suavidad, pausas y mucho sentimiento; sin apartarse nunca de la musicalidad, la improvisación ni del abrazo. Este baile requiere mucha suavidad y equilibrio que lo hace como uno de los más difíciles estilos, tanto es asi que son muy pocos bailarines amateur y profesionales que lo hacen.
